Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using LoveStep (the "App"). On first launch, the App asks you to explicitly agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy with a checkbox, and AI features cannot be used until you agree. Please read these Terms in full before using the App. The Japanese version of these Terms is the official version.
Your license to use the App is governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These Terms set out additional conditions for using the service.
1. Age
The App is intended for people aged 16 and older. People under 16 may not use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 16. If you are under 18, please use the App with the consent of a parent or guardian.
2. The service
The App is a relationship coaching service in which AI diagnoses the relationship, creates action plans, answers your questions and checks drafts before you send them, based on the chats, screenshots and notes you load and your answers to intake questions. The App does not write replies for you.
The AI's diagnoses and advice are reference information for general purposes. We do not guarantee their accuracy or completeness, or any particular outcome (such as starting a relationship). You are responsible for your own final decisions and actions.
3. Accounts
The App has no account registration. Instead, it uses a random identifier created for each device (Device ID), used only to manage your plan, usage counts and consent records.

- Paid plans are auto-renewable subscriptions (1 month). The price is the amount shown in the App Store and is charged to your Apple Account.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel them in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Paid plan counts reset each billing period; free plan counts reset monthly (on the 1st, Japan time). Unused counts do not carry over.
- Refunds follow Apple's refund policy. Please contact Apple to request a refund.
5. Prohibited conduct
- Using the App to harm others, such as deceiving, manipulating through anxiety or guilt, monitoring, stalking or harassing them
- Using the App to keep contacting someone who has asked you to stop
- Using information about other people contained in chats or screenshots for purposes other than using the App, or disclosing it to third parties
- Sending content that sexualizes people under 18 or any other illegal content
- Using the App for purposes that violate the law or public order and morals
- Unauthorized access to the App or its servers, automated mass use, or circumventing usage limits
- Analyzing, modifying, copying or redistributing the App
6. Safety
The App is not a substitute for medical, psychological, legal or other professional advice. If you or someone else is in danger, contact the police, emergency services, or a local public help line immediately.
7. Intellectual property
Rights to the App and its content (logo, design, text, software) belong to us or the rightful owners. Rights to the materials you load belong to you or their original owners.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
- The App is provided as is. We do not guarantee that the App will operate without interruption or errors, or that AI results are accurate.
- We are not liable for damages arising from your use of the App, except in cases of our intent or gross negligence. Even where we are liable, the amount is limited to what you paid for the App in the month the damage occurred.
- The preceding item does not apply where liability cannot be excluded by law.
9. Deleting data
You can delete all data on your device at any time in Settings → Data → Delete all data. Deleted data cannot be restored. Please cancel subscriptions separately in iPhone Settings. See the Privacy Policy for details.
10. Changes, suspension and termination of the service
We may change or end the App with prior notice. In an emergency, we may suspend it temporarily without notice.
11. Changes to the Terms
We may change these Terms. We will announce important changes in the App or on this page. By continuing to use the App after a change, you agree to the changed Terms.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid by law, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction of first instance over disputes related to these Terms, except where mandatory laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.
14. Language
These Terms are written in Japanese. Translations are provided for reference; if they differ, the Japanese version prevails.
